Clean before sending
Remove metadata, comments and hidden content before you hit send
Every file that leaves the deal team can carry the previous client's name in the author field, an internal comment, a speaker note meant for the MD, or a shape hidden off the slide. Plzfix strips them in one click.
PowerPoint clean-up
- Delete document metadata: author, comments and revision information.
- Delete all comments and all speaker notes.
- Delete invisible shapes with no fill and no line.
- Clear alt text, and list then remove animations and transitions.
- Delete hyperlinks.
Excel clean-up
- Delete metadata and custom properties.
- Delete threaded comments and old-style notes, on one sheet or the whole workbook.
- Delete broken names (#REF!, #NAME?, #N/A), unused styles and hyperlinks.
- Unhide every sheet and find external links, so nothing is hiding in the file you send.
Why not Office's Document Inspector?
Document Inspector is all or nothing and buried three menus deep. Plzfix lets you remove exactly what you want, from the ribbon, in the file you are working on.
Questions
Can I undo a clean-up?
Some deletions cannot be undone with Ctrl+Z. Use Save backup first: it saves a timestamped copy next to the original.
Do my files leave my computer?
No. Every tool runs locally inside Office. Plzfix only contacts the internet to validate your licence and check for updates. Your workbooks and decks are never uploaded.
Which versions of Office are supported?
Desktop Excel, PowerPoint and Word on Windows: Office 2016, 2019, 2021 and Microsoft 365. Office for Mac and Office on the web are not supported.
How much does Plzfix cost?
There is a free tier with a daily click allowance and every tool unlocked. Pro is €10 per month, €50 for 6 months or €90 per year, per user, with unlimited use.
