Excel to PowerPoint
Link Excel to PowerPoint without bloated OLE objects
Native paste-link embeds OLE objects that bloat the file, break when the workbook moves and sometimes leak the whole spreadsheet to the client. Plzfix sends a clean vector image instead and remembers where it came from, so you can update it when the numbers change.
How it works
- In Excel, select a range or a chart and click Send to PPT: it lands on the active slide as a vector (EMF) image.
- Plzfix tags the shape with its source workbook, sheet and range.
- In PowerPoint, Update link refreshes the shape from the source; Source manager lists every linked shape with its last update time.
- Open source jumps straight to the range in Excel.
Paste and fit
Need to drop something into an existing placeholder? Paste and fit scales the clipboard to a selected shape by width, by height, to both, or keeping the aspect ratio.
Charts that fit the slide
- Resize a chart to small, medium or large slide presets before sending.
- Smart Format cleans the chart styling; Lock series colors stops Excel from resetting colours when the data changes.
Questions
Does the client see my Excel data?
Not the data: what goes into the deck is an image, not an embedded workbook. To make updates possible, the shape keeps hidden tags with the source workbook name, sheet, range and file path. If those names are confidential, paste a plain copy into the version you send externally.
What happens if I rename or move the workbook?
Update link looks for the workbook at its saved path. Source manager shows which shapes point where, so you can spot broken sources quickly.
Which versions of Office are supported?
Desktop Excel, PowerPoint and Word on Windows: Office 2016, 2019, 2021 and Microsoft 365. Office for Mac and Office on the web are not supported.
How much does Plzfix cost?
There is a free tier with a daily click allowance and every tool unlocked. Pro is €10 per month, €50 for 6 months or €90 per year, per user, with unlimited use.
